This distinctive and invigorating honey variety combines the characteristics of two iconic Greek honeys. Harvested in autumn following a carefully planned double migration of our bee colonies, the hives are first placed in the heather-covered highlands of Achaia and later transferred to the pine forests of Northern Evia. During this journey, the bees gather both the nectar of heather blossoms and the valuable honeydew secretions of the pine ecosystem, creating a honey with exceptional depth, complexity, and character.

Semi-Mountainous Achaia and the Mountainous Region of Northern Evia, Greece
Our bee colonies are first placed in semi-mountainous heather habitats at elevations between 500 and 800 meters, where they begin collecting nectar from the flowering heather. However, this initial flowering period is relatively short and does not allow for a separate harvest. Instead, the nectar gathered during this stage becomes the foundation of a unique honey that is completed later through the bees’ continued foraging journey.
The hives are then transferred to the pine forests of Northern Evia, at elevations exceeding 800 meters, where the production of this exceptional honey is completed. There, the bees collect the valuable honeydew secretions associated with the pine ecosystem, enriching the honey with the distinctive depth, complexity, and forest character for which pine honey is renowned.
In the mountains of Northern Evia, the bees forage not only on the valuable honeydew secretions of the pine ecosystem but also on a rich variety of native plants, including blackberries, strawberry trees (Arbutus), ivy, and numerous wild herbs. These complementary nectar sources contribute additional aromatic complexity and enrich the honey’s unique character.
