Chestnut Honey is harvested from the wild chestnut forests that thrive at high altitudes in the mountains of Arcadia and Achaia, in the Peloponnese. It is produced from both the nectar and the honeydew secretions of the blossoms and leaves of the wild chestnut tree, resulting in a honey of remarkable complexity and character.

Harvested at elevations of 800–1,000 meters on the steep mountain slopes of Arcadia and Achaia, where pristine forests of wild chestnut trees (Castanea sativa) thrive far from intensive agricultural activity.

Early June to Late July

Chestnut Honey is distinguished by its deep reddish color, ranging from intense amber to dark brown and, in some cases, almost black. Its striking appearance reflects its rich botanical origin and exceptional composition.

Chestnut Honey is characterized by its bold, intense, and full-bodied flavor, balanced by a moderate sweetness. Its most distinctive feature is a pleasantly bitter finish that lingers on the palate, making it particularly appealing to those who prefer less sweet honey varieties.
