Organic Fir Honey

At the heart of the Peloponnese, where nature remains untouched and majestic, our bees create one of the rarest treasures of the Greek land: Organic Fir Honey.

KόRYS Organic Fir Honey has received the following awards:

HARVESTING AREA:

Erymanthos, Chelmos and Mainalo Mountains (within protected Natura 2000 areas, home to rare and unique flora species).

At elevations ranging from 800 to 1,800 meters, the Greek Fir (Abies cephalonica) thrives as the dominant tree species, providing the honeydew from which our Organic Fir Honey is produced. Bees also gather small quantities of nectar and pollen from rare wild herbs found in the alpine regions, including Mountain Tea (Sideritis), wild mint, wild oregano, dwarf juniper (Juniperus nana) and other native botanical species.

Mid-July to Late August.

Fir Honey is distinguished by its clear reddish-amber color, reflecting the purity and richness of its mountain origin.

Fir Honey is often described as having a complex, mildly spicy flavor profile, with notes of caramel, nuts, and subtle earthy undertones. It is not overly sweet, making it an excellent choice for those who appreciate a more balanced and refined honey experience.

Fir Honey is characterized by its intense forest aroma, featuring distinctive notes of coniferous trees and the fresh essence of the mountain wilderness.

Exceptionally thick and viscous, Fir Honey is distinguished by its dense consistency and rich, lingering texture.

Due to its naturally low glucose content, Fir Honey rarely crystallizes and may remain liquid for many years, preserving its smooth texture and fluid consistency over time.
